Ingredients

Burger Patties
  • 1 lb ground chicken breast or homemade ground chicken
  • 0.25 cup Italian breadcrumbs or plain + 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise or Greek yogurt
  • 0.25 cup finely minced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper

Method

  1. Step 1: Finely mince the onions, garlic, and parsley. If using homemade ground chicken, pulse raw breasts in a food processor until finely ground, but not over-processed.
  2. Step 2: In a large bowl, mix together ground chicken, breadcrumbs, mayo, onion, garlic, parsley, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Step 3: Mix gently with hands or spatula until just combined. Do not overmix.
  4. Step 4: Form into 4 to 6 equal patties. Press a small indent in the center of each with your thumb.
  5. Step 5: Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat and lightly oil. Cook patties 5–6 minutes per side or until golden and internal temp reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Step 6: Assemble burgers on toasted buns with your choice of toppings and serve immediately.

Notes

Toast buns for extra crunch. Offer a variety of toppings for a crowd. To freeze, wrap cooled patties individually in foil and freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat gently to preserve moisture. For gluten-free, use GF breadcrumbs or crushed rice crackers.
