Frosting & Decoration
  • 1 can vanilla frosting or flavor of choice, about 16 oz
  • to taste sprinkles rainbow, metallic, or zodiac-themed
  • optional food coloring gel or liquid, for tinting frosting
  • optional edible glitter or Capricorn cake toppers

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) so it’s fully heated before baking.
  2. Prepare the cake batter by combining the cake mix with the ingredients listed on the box. Mix until smooth, being careful not to overmix.
  3. Grease a round cake pan and line the bottom with parchment paper to ensure easy release.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack and cool completely before frosting.
