Ingredients

For the Potatoes
  • 1 lb baby potatoes halved, small and uniform for even crisping
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil helps seasoning cling and aids browning
Seasoning Blend
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder adds savory depth
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning adds herby aroma
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning optional, for heat and bold flavor
  • kosher salt to taste
  • freshly cracked black pepper to taste
Finishing Touches
  • 1 wedge lemon for squeezing before serving
  • fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Method

  1. Step 1 – Season the Potatoes: Place halved baby potatoes in a mixing bowl. Add olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and Cajun seasoning (if using). Season with salt and pepper, then toss well to coat. Pro Tip: Pat potatoes dry before seasoning for maximum crispiness.
  2. Step 2 – Air Fry to Perfection: Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Arrange potatoes in a single layer in the basket. Cook 10 minutes, shake the basket, then continue 8–10 more minutes until golden brown and fork-tender. Potatoes should have deep, crisp edges.
  3. Step 3 – Finish & Serve: Once cooked, squeeze fresh lemon over the potatoes and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Serve hot and crispy right away.

Notes

Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket — proper airflow ensures maximum crisp. Try adding Parmesan in the last few minutes for a cheesy finish. Leftovers reheat best in the air fryer at 375°F for 4–6 minutes.
